In the demanding world of sports, navigating pressures amplified by anxiety and OCD can often feel isolating. Athlete Rising, in collaboration with 'Struggle Into Strength', presents an exclusive monthly online meet-up – The Anxiety in Athletes Support Group.

This forum, tailored for young athletes aged 14 to 25, provides a platform to candidly share experiences, gain insights, and build a community rooted in understanding. Whether facing the tension of game-day nerves or the complexities of OCD within sports, attendees can expect genuine conversations and mutual support.

Event Highlights:

  • Date & Time: Every 2nd Tuesday, starting October 10th, 2023, at 6:30 PM CT/ 7:30 PM ET.
  • Platform: Engage seamlessly from your space via Zoom.
  • Content: Apart from sharing, delve into curated educational materials shaped to resonate with the group.
  • Cost: A nominal fee of $10 ensures a dedicated and earnest gathering (Payable via Venmo)

Support Group Guidelines

  1. Link will be sent via email prior to the event to all paid registrants.
  2. Log in on time.
  3. Make sure your camera shows your entire face.
  4. Mute your mic when you aren’t speaking.
  5. Be respectful.
  6. Keep identifying information about group members confidential. Do not share outside of group.
  7. Make sure you are in a private and quiet space.
  8. If you are feeling suicidal, call 911, go to your local ER or call the suicide prevention line at "988".
  9. This group is not to be utilized for emergency situations, crisis, or as a form of therapy.

NOTE: If support group guidelines are not followed, the group leaders have the right to remove members from the group at any time.
